Principal's Welcome

Each year I hear very similar answers from our new in-take of students and parents to my question ‘what are you looking for in a school’? Here at Rangitikei College we strive to offer you:

• a place where you will be well cared for, respected, and made to feel a part of our extended College family.

What we hope to do is show you why we love our place, how we’re different, where we’re heading, and why we think you should join us on your learning journey.

Rangitikei College is a great place to be! Students love being here and taking advantage of the opportunities that being a small rural school in the heart of its community offers. Ours is a school very much on the move - the expectations of us are high and we are proud to be delivering on them.

Students choose us because they are treated with respect. Everyone knows who they are, and they get tremendous opportunities to grow and develop as well-rounded individuals. Our students know that they can achieve anything they want, and that success comes in many shapes and forms. Finally, I would like to assure you that when you choose to join our school, no matter what your potential, no matter what has gone before... we will look after you. One of the things I really believe in is that schools don’t enrol students, they enrol families. Parents and caregivers are always welcome in our school, and I enjoy meeting with you, and taking a personal interest in your journey.
