Entry Scholarship Exams

Nearly 50 year 8 students from all over the Rangitikei District sat Scholarships exams at Rangitikei College on the 1^st December.  The exams are designed to find out the scholarship winners for the 2012 intake. 

Students from all the local Primary schools were represented as the students sat exams in Science, Social Studies, Mathematics and English.  “It was a very busy day for the students but they seemed to enjoy the experience” said Principal Lance Christiansen.  Students would be informed of who won the scholarships shortly with 10 students gaining scholarships from $400 to $100 to help with their costs at school.  “We are fortunate to have great support from the College Trust for these scholarships,  while they also provide free stationery packs and pay school fees at year 9” said Mr Christiansen.
